Oh yay! Reed in pre-warp civvies. Let's take a moment to honor Reedygoodness' first time to a pre-warp culture, not to mention a spiffy forehead job and cool hair. 'It was worth every step, Sir!' Oh Reed you kiss up. Malcolm asks to write the report, in commeroration, and Hoshi blabs about the war brewing on the planet. 'Am I that obvious?' Malcolm pouts. Yes, you are, especially when it comes to T'Pol. 80) Malcolm pulls out a phase pistol, from who know where, and realizes he lost his communicator. Okay, now why did it have to be him? 80(

Search, Mal, Search! Reedy is very angry at himself, but Archer tells him to calm down and asks when Malcolm last had his communicator. Malcolm licks his lips and says he last used it to contact T'Pol when they entered the city. Oh yeah. Reedy leans over Hoshi and flashes his bum at T'Pol standing next to him. hehe. Malcolm grows very panicky and tells Archer his 'carelessness was inexcusable.' Reed wishes to be punished. Archer teases him with old Naval punishments, but tells him it is no big deal. If I were Malcolm I'd be upset too! Losing my communicator is really not in character!
Archer really makes Malcolm obvious. They go to the alien tavern, and Archer tells Reed to check under the table? Okay... Then Archer orders Malcolm to use the scanner? Reedy is further plotting his doom, and keeps his head down when the bartender approaches. Malcolm doesn't even speak, which is highly smart tactical, unlike some.
Reed locates the scanner in a back room. He licks his lips and says he was never in that room. I still say he was pickpocketed, but don't you think Malcolm would have felt it? Oh the licks lips again! Buttmunch Archer leads the way to the backroom. Sure, that's not an alien 'Employees Only' sign, not at all. Why does Archer have to go anyway? Let Malcolm be his tactical self already. Reedy even fights better. He was winning until he turned to 80P at the guy he beat, then Reed takes a chair over the head. Who has been beaten up more, Archer or Reed? I hate when they dumb down the Reedygoodness!

The aliens pull out all Malcolm's 'equipment'. Where was he keeping all that stuff?! T'Pol, is so worried about her love and his 'equipment' she risks comming them in public! Malcolm pouts in his jail cell. His feet hurt and he wants ebson salts. It was a nice change to see Archer rolling his eyes. 'If I ask politely' Malcolm suggests. I say its an escape plan! Archer nixes it and Malcolm whines about losing all his stuff and tells Archer they should tell the truth, it 'couldn't hurt to try.' Again Archer nixes the idea. I don't understand this, would Archer rather have 'Kill me now! Minefield Malcolm'? Idiot.
The boys are interrogated about T'Pol, and TSM (Tactically Smart Malcolm) doesn't even move. Archer begins to answer and Malcolm turns to him like No! Have you no training whatsoever?! Malcolm does however look up on the word 'spies.' I suspect he at least knows what is done to miltary spies, perhaps he was one? I definately think Malcolm has a slim and shady past.
Reedy chews on his cheek, determined not to give away details. The baddie hits Archer, and Reed turns sharply. OMR shifts anxiously. In a way I think he is enjoying the interrogation. The experience of it, studying how these aliens do it. Fascinating. Archer won't tell who T'Pol is, and Reedy puts his head down. The bads smack Captain Beat some more and Malcolm stands up. Oh a double cry of pain! But what's this? Malcolm's make up job is revealed. Where do the aliens get 'surgecially altered'? It's latex! Bad Malcolm! You bleed red! Mally does look scared at the thought of a full examination by the doctor. Does he have a fear of doctors in general perhaps?

Okay, let's not get into the 'We've had the cell
ship all along, really!' debate. T'Pol just wants her hunny, and
is willing to use illogical plot means to get him! Polly orders Hoshi
to listen for anything on 'The Captain and Mr. Reed.' <growl.>
Man, why don't they just tell the truth?! Reed seems
more relaxed as the aliens examine the info. They have the proof
so why can't Archer tell? Reed looks up and down at Archer.
Tell!
Archer
goes on some bad lying speech, and Malcolm's head droops.
Woe is me,
here I come! Archer looks to Mal to fix his lies, and Reedy blabs about
genetic enchancements. He wishes. They walk out and Reed really gives
Archer the Pissy Zoolander Look.
Hoshi reports that Idiot and Reedygoodness are going
to be executed. T'Pol breathes in heavily and looks away. She
rushes to half cloaked Trip, telling him they must hurry. T'Pol can
barely say 'executed' (!) Her head lowers and Trip assures her they
will save they day; He's seen the end of the script.
Malcolm sits in the shadowy corner of the cell.
It's kind of a cool shot, but I don't see the point. Maybe he is
being sneaky or something. Reedy wants to play sick in order
to escape, but surprise! Archer nixes it. The Captain props Malcolm
for fixing his story and making them sound like Suliban. Reed snips,
'Thanks. Improvestation isn't my strong suit.' Go boy! You are going to
die, so you tell that idiot Captain!
Malcolm leans out of the shadow and asks what Enterprise will do. Archer says he knows T'Pol will get everything in time. Wow, tell the man his chick will get his remains! I love the look on Reed's face! He shakes his head, saying it is ironic to die for people that are trying to kill them. Malcolm tells Archer he is not afraid, and both men shift. Bullshit!

Now, it so figures! Archer wants to tell the
truth. Reed puts his hands in his pockets and slides into his fatalistic
self. Malcolm agrees that the aliens would not believe them.
However, Malcolm really turns at Archer's idea of inviting a war hungry
alien general to dinner in the Captain's Mess. Mally smiles, and Archer
brings up T'Pol again. Does he know or what?
Reed gets inspired at the thought of his Vulcan
love. He tells Archer that if they told these people the truth, it might
clean up their act, 'like what the Vulcans did for earth.' One, two,
three-Archer nixes it. Malcolm Zoolander pouts and turns away. Archer
says they are doing the right thing, and Reed snickers. Bloody Hell
we are!
The Captain says he sorry Malcolm didn't get to write his report, and Mal looks up like Report? I want T'Pol! Reedy says he's expecting a rescue party any minute, but do you think he is really? Me neither. Reed seems to be having more trouble with this, since it isn't a 'hero's death' to him. Malcolm pouts, nad lurks back to his shadow. Actually the shot reminds me of a dark confessional booth, so maybe it is trying to be all last rites like. Even though we know it will all work out in the end. 80)

Awl! Reedy doesn't want to go! I love the shot of him lying on the bunk. T'Pol huff and puffs in the cell ship. Trip says something about weapons, and T'Pol turns. Oh yeah she's got Reed on the brain. Oh how nice, Archer tries to save Reed. What for? To leave him for further torture and interrogation and experiments? Not to mention cleaning up Archer's lies. Reedy does a double blink at the gallos, but protests at Archer's pleas. Poor Mally really flinches when the noose goes around his neck.
But what's this? TnTnT to the rescue! And they learned
how to shoot! Reedy looks around in disbelief. T'Pol rolls out and
fires, go girl! I love that sassy belt of hers. T'Pol
races up the steps and fires. Now did she really have to crouch down
right by Malcolm's crotch? >80)
Trip unties Malcolm's hands, and Reed has that noose of asap!
T'Pol leaps down behind Malcolm. Did she give him a new pistol? Yes
she did! I wonder what else they did in that dark corner? Reed walk
intact, Malcolm races to Archer. Mal reminds him of their technology,
T'Pol huddled right by him. Reed fires, and T'Pol goes behind him.
They hide behind stuff together and cover fire for Archer. Malcolm zips
behind T'Pol to the ship, and even checks her out on the way. Reed
really wants to get back at these people and fires from the cell ship.
And
here's one for that bloody medical examination!

T'Pol reaches out and takes all the info as Archer climbs inside. Uh, since when do they all fit in the two man cell ship? <roll> Polly stands behind her Reedygoodness and tries not to oogle at him. She gives Archer the evil eye, and Malcolm is overjoyed to get the last word on Archer. Polly reports to Archer that no habited planets are ahead. It's less trouble for him to get into at least. T'Pol admits she took a 'calculated risk' in the rescue, even though Archer was stupid for making up his super soldier stories. Polly didn't think Archer would sacrifice himself, but does that mean she thinks Malcolm would? I would suspect T'Pol and Malcolm to sacrifice themselves before Archer. Dork.
