Phase Pistols & Pointed Ears:
Sleeping Dogs

In my opinion this might  be THE Reed/T'Pol episode.  There are lots of subtlys in this one.  I love the opening Target Practice.  DK rocks.
'Don't compensate for partical drift. Just point straight at the target. And try and keep your shoulders relaxed. It's hard to aim accurately when you're tense.'

>80) Who thinks he was talking about something else? Proof in the text: He says hard, not difficult, which would be the proper grammar, and we all know how well Reed speaks! Malcolm realizes what he said. He coughs to cover his meaning, but adds. 'You'll get the hang of it.'
This whole episode Malcolm really tries to impress both Hoshi and T'Pol. I guess that's what happens when he's alone with chicks for an extended period of time. What's Mal been doing that he got sick?
T'Pol's deadpan is so....British.  'Other than keeping Engisn Mayweather up at night...'  Oh that's reason enough!

Workaholic Malcolm my foot. he's not going to pass up the change to dress near T'Pol!  He stands next to her in the Changing room, and doesn't come over to Hoshi until he can tell her she'll be crushed to the size of his fist. Okay. Wrong way to impress the girls,  Mal.  Reed has no problems following orders from T'Pol, unlike Hoshi's calling out in the shuttlepod.  Malcolm of course, says he's more worried about the Pod itself, but yeah right.  He is living it up trying to be the tough man in this episode.

Tough Boy goes first in breathing the Klingon air! Notice he sets down that stupid suitcase of infinite supplies. At the first sign of Klingon, Reed nods to T'Pol and they all draw pistols! Hoshi whines to T'Pol again about not knowing its a Klingon ship.  Malcolm is more worried about the ship getting crushed like an eggshell.  What is it with him and these crush metaphors?

Reed takes his Hero complex to the next level.  He doesn't want to leave the Klingons, honorable deaths or not!  Even though Reed whines constantly about wanting to die an  honorable death.  T'Pol tells him his compassion is admirable. What else does she admire? Actually I think this is the first time she's spoken to him since Flight or Fight, but she's been admiring from afar.  Reed is completely comfortable letting his Sailor speak out near T'Pol.  Damn interference!

Dominic Keating cracks me up.  This episode is where we see the advent of  'The Reed Walk'.  He hears a sound and hushes T'Pol with his hand.  Then stealths off  in the darkness to save the women! This walk must have come out of his shaking his ass for the girls.  But its all in vain when the Klingon chick kicks his ass! So much for heroes and honorable death. I bet Malcolm wanted to die then and there.  In his defense, Bu'kah also takes down two perfectly heathly and armed security guards.  80)

T'Pol is unaffected by this mistep of Malcolm's. Hoshi asks about escape pods, but T'Pol answers Malcolm's answer.  Malcolm, now playing the 'I have my faults' impression, admits he doesn't have experience in flying Klingon ships.  Does he want T'Pol to experience him?  The British deadpan shines again when Malcolm tells Hoshi she can wake a Klingon for help.

Photon Torpedoes! Now who is trying to impress who, hmm Hoshi?  Why does Malcom compliment Hoshi for T'Pol's finding of the helm? He feels bad, and that's why he's polite enough to use her name instead of her rank. o80)  Dead in The Water! Reed is back to impressing the ladies with his manly American impersonations.  He tries to be fair and stand in the middle, but he also stands closer to T'Pol.  That is until they strip down to the clinging gray suits, then he hides behind Hoshi.  I wonder who's idea it was to strip down anyway?  What's this? T'Pol hands something to Malcolm. Twice now she's touched his hands! She's been refraining since Broken Bow.  She's all turned on by the way Reed says 'Port Fusion Injector'.

T'Pol checks out Malcolm! No lie! Malcolm can sense the magnetism and nods to T'Pol to help him move the Klingon.  Their heads end up very close in this manuever, which I suspect was Mal's intention in asking for help.  He's playing the 'I'm sick and weak please heal me' impression now, and he's got a great cry of pain!  T'Pol scans him. He. She is so turned on, she has to runaway with Hoshi. Okay, she shouldn't go alone, but you leave the sick loverboy by himself?  Mal leers at T'Pol's ass again when he tells the girls to watch themselves.  He wishes he could watch!

T'Pol is a little too trigger happy away from Malcolm.  She can tell Hoshi wants Malcolm ,too, and T'Pol admits 'You can't deny your nature'. >80)  Malcolm, the whole time the girls were gone, instead of fixing the ship he was thinking about torpedos. His or T'Pol's?  For the third time, he talks about something getting crushed.  Talk about Freudian Slips.  Now I know why he felt so faint.  Malcolm hides behind Hoshi again while he argues with T'Pol about the photon torpedoes.  I think he is a little afraid of her.  Maybe he likes that sort of thing.  Okay his whole theory that  'in order to reach a higher orbit the blast has to big and it has to be close'   That might be his life motto, in all walks of life ;0)  T'Pol doesn't appear to agree with this, but Reed turns to Hoshi and says 'You heard the Sub-Commander!' Oh yeah, he likes that sort of thing.

Reed says Damn again. (I'm keeping track of his curses now?!) He follows Hoshi orders to fire all the torpedos.  One he's not going to argue with the chance to fire torpedoes, and two, he knows not to mess with an angry woman!  If you don't love Reed after this, go away and stay there.  Malcolm really enjoys wathcing Hoshi and T'Pol argue. I bet he's thought about that, a lot.  Now he hides behind T'Pol and makes faces while Hoshi kicks ass!    Malcolm tells the girls to brace themselves, so T'Pol comes up and braces herself inbetween Hoshi and Malcolm.  hehe.     Archer brings the Klingon chick back, and Malcolm rolls his eyes whle hiding behind T'Pol.

DECON!  Reed is leaning on Hoshi, sure. That's because he is afraid of touching T'Pol in the wrong way or of her seeing his, um, lack of control.  Malcolm doesn't want to get up to answer the hail. He looks to T'Pol, then  hangs his head.   T'Pol gets up and does  it.  Talk about signals. 80)  Mal checks her out again, then he contests the doctors findings.  He gets Hoshi to agree, cause he knows she wants him too, and they con T'Pol.  Malcolm gives her the  pretty please Zoolander look.  His smile at her headache is just too funny. What is the point of his 'nice to be clean again' comment? Stoic slient Reed isn talking to cover up what is really going on.  He babbles on about his trip to a spa in Mexico. What happened there?! Whatever it was, it doesn't compare to this. Hehehe.  T'Pol, of course agrees this is pelasant. Oh the look on Reed's face after that one! Does he look up at the ceiling?! Which deity do you think he is thanking? Polly and The Reedygoodness indeed!
