Phase Pistols & Pointed Ears:
Shockwave 1 and 2

What would Mr. Reed think of a matriarchial society I wonder? I guess we'll never know! Again breakfast is only the Big 3, and T'Pol turns to Trip like he's an idiot, again.  Reedygoodness is there to fly the shuttle. Sure, let him fly when its time to kill 3,000 people!  Reed whines that the flight will be longer, but Archer's 'It wouldn't be polite to ignite their atmosphere' gets a smile from Malcolm, as if to say That is why I am flying, Sir.
Reed, always the careful one, plans to do the protocols extra safe while T'Pol talks to Archer.  T'Pol says 'Matriarchial' and Malcolm blinks like Women in charge? Women? In Charge?! He would either love that or hate it.  Oh well, buh-bye women in charge.  Reed really gets flung around in that shuttle, and I just love that cry of pain!

Malcolm stands inbetween the bio beds with a hand clinging to each one.  He is certain! that he followed all the protocols.  T'Pol stands in the frame while Malcolm tells it to Archer.  His eyes look bloodshot.  'There are backups to prevent these kinds of accidents! The ducts were closed!'
T'Pol circles around to Malcolm. 'I closed both ducts!' Malcolm's voice cracks just enough.  He is professing his innocence yet at the same time casting blame upon himself.  T'Pol cuts in and looks directly at Malcolm.  She confirms that no one is to blame and a thorough investigation will clear everything.  You gotta love compassion from a Vulcan!  Malcolm grows confident with T'Pol in his corner and his voice raises to once again confirm he did what he was supposed to do. Duh.
T'Pol turns to ask Phlox how Trip is, but Malcolm stays away from everyone else, blurred in the background.  It's a neat shot about how he feels on the outside looking in, how he must always feel he's on the outside looking in. Hoshi says she tried to hail the colony, and Malcolm leans closer, looking for some explanation.  Have no fear, little buddy!

Archer comes to the bridge and gets snooty with T'Pol.  6 of 8 log diagnostics in 3 hours? That's pretty good if you ask me! T'Pol almost rolls her eyes at Archer.  Archer turns to Trip (who is actually at the Engineer station!) and asks him about the sensors.  Malcolm looks over at Trip with sad eyes, hoping he has the answers.  Archer turns to Reed, but Malcolm hesitates before he answers. He seems to be deep in thought about the fact that all signs still point to his plasma ducts.   Reed tells the Captain the stream started under the shuttle and 'seems' near the starboard plasma duct.  I like 'seems'.  Malcolm knows he did everything right, but he is willing to take blame instead of stand up since all signs say he is wrong. ARGH!  Archer again yells 'A plasma duct you are certain was closed.'  T'Pol jumps in that all the shuttle data confirms Malcolm is right. See, she is willing to defend her man! Twice.
Archer yells at Polly and pouts in his room. T'Pol asks Phlox if he should be relieved due to his grief.  If Archer feels to blame imagine how much Malcolm must be feeling! We have to infer because we don't get to see.  After his outburst in sickbay, we don't really see Malcolm so upset again.  Hmph. Bottle much?  T'Pol knows it was an accident and can't understand why Archer is letting his grief show.  Phlox tries to explain that is normal and that is would naturally make her uncomfortable.

Reed asks Hoshi to send the surface data to his station, and Trip is on his left arm as usual.  Reed shifts while reading the info, but tries to keep his cool.  Travis asks what is up, but Malcolm doesn't look at him when he answers. More evidence showing the no good, if I may skip the technobabble.  80)  T'Pol sits still at her station looking at Malcolm.
'I don't care whether that probe picked up traces of bread pudding! Both our plasma ducts were locked down and there were no leaks in the system.'  Poor Malcolm.  'Not unless they miraculously mended themselves afterwards.' Malcolm  collects himself.      Archer calls Trip and T'Pol to the Ready Room, and Malcolm sadly watches them exit the Bridge.  He is so upset, he doesn't even check out T'Pol's ass!   T'Pol shifts at the thought of Enterprise's mission being cancelled.  She stares blankly at Archer while he tells her about the Vulcans coming to get her.  But what about Malcolm?!

So, its the middle of the night, and who is up? T'Pol and Malcolm.  Of course, do we see Malcolm worried and digging further? No. We get T'Pol delivering 'Lieutenant Reed and his team's' latest info.  T'Pol finds Reed's 'mystery signature' worthy of further investigation, but Archer pouts and throws his ball to T'Pol.  She can catch! 'Lieutenant Reed felt you'd be interested,' and T'Pol throws the ball back.  People it's show not tell.  Imagine the impact of a scene with Malcolm working, yet doubting himself.  T'Pol enters and feels the info is worthy to bring to Archer. Then Archer and Reed both get over their guilt.
'Tell him it was a nice try,' Archer boo! on you! T'Pol gives it to Archer. 'Is this what humans refer to as feeling sorry for oneself?'  Archer yells at T'Pol again and she basically tells him to get up off his ass, for she is willing to work at it if he is.  You go girl!

Okay, Daniels takes Archer back in time, but did he take Porthos back in time, too, or is that the same dog from a year ago? I think Daniels is an android, and what is his first name? Oh Malcolm needs to have a talk with him!  I love when Archer 'returns'. 'Mr. Reed I'd like you in my quarters immediately!' hehe.  Sure, now you want to solve everything after you get some assurance from the future.  Don't go with your gut or your people's ideas. No!  Daniels probably told Archer to make sure and tell Malcolm first this time!
Reed arrives at the Situation Room with a poker chip wondering 'How on earth!' Archer knew the invisible thingie was there.  Malcolm shifts and rolls his head. Tell me all, now!  Archer just squeezes Malcolm's shoulder.  No, don't tell him everything! Don't tell him you're sorry for doubting him. Please I beg of you! Archer gives the thingie to T'Pol and she also looks up like Tell, now.  The Captain orders Malcolm to call out the guard.  Reed bites his cheek in excitement.  Archer finally turns and tells that they didn't do it to....Trip?

Archer and Reedygoodness go to the Black Hole that is Daniels' quarters.  Reed raises his brow at the thought of leaving all that technology behind.  He wants to give all the 'invaluable' stuff to Starfleet, but Archer says he promised Daniels no peeking.  Reed didn't promise anybody!  Malcolm slows his pace and bites his lip, 'Pity!'
Reed is worried about Enterprise, hoping the Suliban won't follow them.  Archer says it's like the bible movies, it wasn't written.  Whatever! rolls Reed.  I love all the shadowy shots in Daniels' quarters.  Reed looks around but Archer cuts to it. Malcolm gets comfy on the bunk and salivates at all the information.  He wants all the Klingon details, but 'The stealth cruiser, Lieutenant. Nothing else!' hehe. Reed hangs his head. Reprimand and no details! Pity! Archer even speeds it up so Malcolm can't see. hehe.
I love The big 4! Trip hogs Tactical while Malcolm plays in the Armoury.  'The closer the better, sir,' says Reed of the Suliban ship.  And what else, I wonder? >80)  Reed so coolly kicks ass and disables the ship.  'She's all yours Captain. Good luck!'  I like this big 4 format, although I bet Reed doesn't. He's involved  but separate and away from the action.  Yet  notice how his aim is accurate now!

Archer finally tells T'pol about his escapade with Daniels.  'As I told you. The Vulcan Science Directorate has concluded that time travel is impossible.'  Polly sighs at Archer's lack of logic.  'To conclude that the only answer is that you aquired this information from a dead crewman who transported you back through time is illogical.'  It does sound stupid, doesn't it? 80)  T'pol blinks at Archer's perstistance. Sure, now he gives a damn.  Archer says he needs T'Pol with him, not accusing him of being nuts. 'I don't recall accusing you of anything.' Deadpan on que!
Reed comms Archer. Jealous much?  I love his inititive! 'It might be a good idea...' says Malcolm. And he 'takes the liberty...' of tracking down Trip. Only Malcolm would notice the warp field is 'slightly out of alignment'  Wait, T'Pol confirms the information.   Trip says all is good. 'Well they're not!' And stop standing by my station would you?! You tell him Malcolm!
Malcolm nods happily at Archer's beat to quarters call.  The Captain tells Reed to charge the weapons, and OMR is like duh! So they are surrounded by the Suliban, and Archer tells Reedy to fire.  What a guy! Malcolm my hero admits he can't take out enough of the ships before they fire back.  T'pol blinks at him. I am confused. You can do everything!  T'Pol double takes again at Archer's agreement with Silik.   We don't see Reed's reaction, probably because he rolled his eyes and banged his fist on his station. He's falling for this again?!
Archer tells Trip to listen to T'Pol. hehe, but Reed does not protest Archer's leaving.  Do write!  80) T'Pol certainly takes the Captain's chair quick enough.  She just couldn't wait for Archer to be gone either!  Silik gets pissy with Polly and Reed turns his neck hinge to her, and she looks at him.   Silik says they are playing a dangerous game and Reed is like Oh yeah! T'Pol and I play a lot of games! >80)
'It's targeting the warp core,' Reed looks at T'Pol. 'They're all targeting the warp core.'  He says it like he's already got on his defeatist attitude. Maybe its the accent but that's better last words than 'No cheese.'

So, Reed only appears once in the 'Previously on Enterprise...' Hey! But the first face we see of Season 2? T'Pol! Trip arrives to hog Tactical. That is really starting to bother me! T'Pol invites Silik to come aboard and see Archer isn't there. Party in the Mess Hall! Reed orders out the guard, but T'Pol belays him.  He shifts in his seat and looks at her ass. What did she say?  Trip blurts out 'Are you crazy?'  T'Pol repeats that trouble is all around and looks to Malcolm for confirmation.  He looks down, then up at her with such sad eyes. However in the look there is this twinge of  'Yeah she's crazy, in the bunk, and since we are about to die, can we shag now?'

I like The Shockwave 2 with the extra Reed footage better.  The Suliban threaten Hoshi and Reed shifts from his spot behind T'Pol. He clenches the handrail, but the Suliban  aim's at Hoshi's head.  Malcolm looks like he is going to step around the rail, but Trip blurts out instead.  Is Malcolm staying back so they don't know who he really is or what his job is, which is tactically smart, or did he hesitate because he is a little scared of stepping up and risking being the hero? I think he just wanted to stay behind T'Pol. 80)
Silik gets in T'Pol's face and she is ever so suave. Reedy glares at Slitherboy from behind Polly.  Malcolm looks back and forth between T'Pol and Silik, then Trip and the guard, then back to T'Pol again. Say the word, M'lady!

I'm sorry but Commander Williams looks like Buzz Lightyear. Anyway!

T'Pol is being tortured! No! Malcolm would rescue her if he weren't locked in.  How come he doesn't have weapons in his quarters? And since when is T'Pol's catsuit two piece? It does look cool that way though, and 2 million men in America agree. ;0) Reed agrees, too.  T'Pol gives it to Silik, despite the truth serum.  Reed would want truth serum, for Tactical purposes only I'm sure! Silik asks Polly if Archer agrees with her 'opinion' of time travel.  'It's not an opinion!' Go girl!
Ah yes the one and only time so far that we've seen Reed's quarters.  I expected it to look like some laboratory, but no! Let's see, there is as robe by the door with a small mirror, a locker, a desk with books on it, a small sink and shelf with some sort of boxes on it.  He's got two mirrors? I bet I know why >80)  Oh yes, and blue sheets on his  bed.  Why am I not so detailed in describing T'Pol's quarters?

Reed paces nervously and twists his hands. His comm fizzes, and I could tell it says 'It's me, Trip.'  I bet Malcolm understood, but he licks his lips and asks, 'Please repeat.' He's just that skeptical.  Malcolm further tests him by telling him how to fix the comm issue. 'Any better?' asks Trip. 'Yeah!' Reed beams. So it is Trip!  Hey, Trip has a window and Malcolm doesn't!
'Are you alright?' Malcolm is so sweet! He leans closer to the comm like that makes a difference.  'And the others?' Reed just wants to save the whole ship!  Trip knows what's on Mal's mind and says 'I can't get in contact with T'Pol for some reason.' Reeds eyes shift nervously at the thought! 'Any thoughts about how we're going to get rid of these suliban?!'  He almost growls I think. Notice how he wasn't this eager to help Hoshi? >80)  Trip tells Malcolm to chill he still wants to comm everyone.  'I wasn't planning on going anywhere.' Reed says with a smile. Just what does he intend to do while he's locked in his quarters alone?

Stoned T'Pol rocks.  She is all spaced out on her bed scantily clad when Archer contacts her from the future.  'Are you alright?' Archer took way longer to ask that to T'Pol than Reed did Trip. 'The Science Vulcan Directorate has determined that time travel is...not fair.' Classic!
Archer asked where they are and T'Pol says everyone is confined to quarters.  Archer asks again and T'Pol says 'I told you, in my quarters.' hehe. I like the eerie shot of Archer in T'Pol's eyes.   The Captain tells T'Pol she has to 'find a way to get to Daniels' Quarters.' He doesn't say to send Reed, she just knows he is the man is up for the hero position.

Everyone is talking on the comm and Reed says the shafts are blocked. >80) 'It would be too tight a squeeze' for him or Trip to climb out of their quarters.  I love Trip's 'What's your definition of too tight?'  Reed says a child and Trip says Hoshi. There is something weird there but I don't know what.  T'Pol could have fit through those things too!  Hoshi just can't wait to get to Malcolm. She does love him, too. Why is Reed quiet at the suggestion of Hoshi?
Oh yes, the whole lost shirt incident. Lucky Malcolm.  We see his quarters again. He's got a couch next to his desk, and some sort of thing that looks like a coat rack. wtf? It is!  Reed is in his bug eyes shock at Hoshi. He looks like 'I could have used you earlier when I was in my quarters alone and couldn't contact T'Pol.'  Reed just takes it all in with that deer in the headlights look. What if T'Pol catches us?! Actually I think he had no thoughts at that moment.   Hoshi asks for a shirt and Malcolm quickly turns away. He glances back then tries to climb into his locker!  His being a dork around women is part of what makes him so cool.

So T'Pol gets out and is doing what exactly to distract the guards? Hey, when she was telling the plan over the comm she was still in her tank.  Did she get dressed before or after Reed and company arrived? 80)   T'Pol really cries out 'No!' two times.  Reed leaps down from above before her third and stuns the Suliban.  Then Trip shows up to help.  Trip tries to give the Suliban gun to Reed, but T'Pol snatches it.  Reed gives her the second gun and the hypospray, then checks out her ass while he lifts the Suliban up. I mean his head was right there!

T'Pol enters Trip's quarters, followed as always by Malcolm.  T'Pol yells at Trip for taking his time.  'I had to make sure they were preoccupied.' T'Pol just looks at Trip like he's a jerk. Notice she doesn't blame Malcolm!  She walks over to him, he extends his hands, and T'Pol plops both Suliban guns in his hand.  She grazes his chest as she does so, yowza! I think she is being extra caring of him since he feels the whole thing is still his fault.
Trip asks Reedygoodness if he is sure he wants to do this.  T'Pol's head springs up, and she looks at Malcolm.  Reed looks at Trip like 'Well I'm not really, but I will!'. 'I'm postive' Reed answers quickly, then looks down at the weapons.  Trip tells him he has thirty minutes.   I swear that Malcolm looks up as if it is the last thirty minutes of his life.  Now, not only is he the hero cause he is off to do the impossible, but he turns to T'Pol and wishes her good luck on her part of the mission! <sigh> Reed glances at Trip then quickly leaves.  T'Pol gives Hoshi the hypos then quickly exits behind Malcolm.  We can even see Reed down the hall when Trip follows them.  80)

The extra footage of Malcolm lurking around the ship is so cool. He goes to Daniels' quarters, taking his time with the lock.  He enters real easy, flicks on the light and plops the lock on the top bunk.  Did he enter the same code to get in as before? Continuity people! ;0)  Malcolm opens Daniels' locker and eyes it suspciously.  He reaches out and leads with two fingers >80).  Malcolm puts his whole arm into the door, shoulder deep! He seems to wiggle around, then smiles and pulls out what he was looking for.  Reedygoodness shuts of the light when he leaves and pops the lock back on.  But Malcolm turns to find the Suliban waiting for him! <gasp!> Malcolm get caught? Never! OMR sighs like. 'Yep, last thrity minutes of my life. Say it isn't so!'

<gasp!> Malcolm gets flung to the Bridge floor, his right eye black and blood dripping from his mouth.  DK fake chokes on blood so well. 80) His uni is unzipped a bit more.  'I guess I wasn't thinking' Malcolm concurs with Silik's saying it was stupid to go to Daniels's quarters.  But also I think Malcolm also means he wasn't thinking about what he got himself into. Silik throws him into the Captain's Chair. What a first time for Reed to get into the Captain's Chair!  Oh that cry of pain!
Reed shifts and breathes heavy at Silik's talk.  Reed looks over the Suliban's shoulder to the door. I think he is trying to get out of it, since Silik asks what Reed thinks they are going to do to him (!)  Silik wants to know what the future toy does, but Mal gulps and admits he doesn't know. Silik socks him over the side of the chair and Malcolm gurgles on his own blood. Oh you can so feel for him here!
Silik grabs Mal by his collar and flings him around again.  Silik spins the chair and gets in his face.  'I don't know!'  Twice Malcolm gives that pissy response to Silik.  Silik and his henchman aim to pummel Reedy again. 'Please!' Malcolm begs. What? 'I was told to destroy it.' What? Silik salivates and really tightens his grip. 'Captain Archer.' Malcolm gasps and gags.  'Before he left he didn't want you to find it!' Setup! I knew it all along, didn't you?!  He is such a great liar.  His voice even changes. 'He said you might use it to contact someone. I don't know who! I swear it!' He is so the man!  Silik spins the chair and lets Reed go. The second Suliban picks him up and Mal omphs and grunts his way to his Oscar!   He risks life and limb for Enterprise, again!

T'Pol raids engineering and neck pinches one guy, then shoots two.  She and Trip fake a warp breech and Enterprise whisks away from the helix.  I think the whole plan must have been T'Pol and Reed's.  He gets pummeled to heroism and there is a fake explosion? 80) T'Pol says Trip's pyrotechnics were overdone. Actually you would think Mal is better at pyrotechnics, but no, he couldn't fake an explosion.
Hehe. I think T'Pol's breast actually hit Mayweather's shoulder! I guess she just bent over to flash her ass to tactical one too many times! And stupid Trip didn't even notice. The Suliban cell ships pursue Enterprise.  Um, Trip, maybe you should fire back now?  T'Pol pulls the shaken not stirred during the firefight.  Archer pulls up in a cell ship with the unconcious Silik, who he lets go. Let go?! Who else thinks he should have turned Silik over to Malcolm? Me too!
T'Pol looks angry at Archer's return and snootly says they can stand down weapons. Archer asks who is hurt and T'Pol informs. 'Lieutenant Reed suffered some minor injuries.'  Of course, him and his stiff upper lip thinks its no big deal, so T'Pol reports it as such. Who wants to bet they were Reed's exact words?  'It's only minor injuries, Sub-commander' I bet he winked at her too.  ;0) T'Pol continues, 'But he is recovering in Sickbay.' I bet she visited him! She glances at tactical, then realizes it's only Trip sitting there. For shame!

Naturally, Reed is back at Tactical for the big finish.  Phlox is there, and Reedy's face is still swollen.  Even if he didn't really have to be there,  I'm not complaining. 80) Reed shifts at Soval's rundown of all Enterprise's wrong doings.  I came here for this? Malcolm looks down at his station, but Trip blurts out again. Malcolm head turns and T'Pol shifts and sighs.
Oh whoa Archer and his gazelles! Reed shift and rolls his head. He glances at T'Pol and she blinks at Archer as if to say 'This helps, how?'  This speech is like Reed's glare-lethal. T'Pol has to step in and fix it.  DK is so funny! He leans around Phlox to see T'Pol's ass while she tells it to the Vulcans.  Admiral Forrest is proud and wishes them luck.  He looks at Reed, too, knowing full well he is the hero of this episode!  Phlox turns to Reed like 'Yes he means you! You hero you!'  Reed looks to Phlox like What? Archer turns to T'Pol and she looks at him like What? Malcolm should at least be promoted for saving the ship again.  I think he should get a medal!

Oh how cute, T'Pol fell asleep in her mint pjs while reading a book. Waiting for Malcolm to come claim his reward? >80) Her door beeps, but its only Archer.  T'Pol sits up and tries to cover herself up.   Archer thinks he was spotted by Crewman Fuller, but T'Pol says 'She tends to be discreet'.  Okay, how does T'Pol know? Who else has Fuller been discreet about seeing enter T'Pol's quarters?
Archer says T'Pol put it over the top and Forrest woke him in the middle of the night with good news. 'Can you believe that?' T'Pol looks at Archer and blinks. Duh. ' I still don't believe in time travel.' T'Pol insists.  'The hell you don't!' T'Pol sighs at Archer.  If only Malcolm were well!
