Malcolm begins the episode his quiet subdued self, with arms crossed as always.  Trip and Travis have a nice laugh over teasing T'Pol, but we do not see Malcolm laugh, probably because he didn't.  The way he feels about the Sub-Commander is simply not a laughing matter.

     T'Pol babbles on about the Vulcans and their Prime Directives.  Malcolm listens intently while Archer ignores her.  Did they used reseqenced protein to make those wigs?  T'Pol needs to let her hair grow long.  She gets way too into the cloak and dagger aspect of the mission if you ask me.
    Malcolm would be angry at the breaking and entering commited by Trip and Archer. (Archer calls it a curio shop.  That's a fancy word for junk.) Not only do they commit a crime, but Trip tells Archer to leave this part out of his report! Insert Malcolm's pissy Zoolander look here.

    Archer sure yells at T'Pol for shooting Rian.  Ms. Pol is just way too trigger happy.  T'Pol suggest they check the suspicious shopkeeper again, but Archer wants to talk to the girl.  Malcolm would be so torn in that decision.  T'Pol gives Rian the Pissy Zoolander looks when the silly primitive tells her not to touch anything, then  T'Pol tells Archer to 'enjoy your tea.'  She has learned much in the art of sarcasism. From whom  I wonder?

        Malcolm is very  happy though when he gets to fire a torpedo barrage!  But he doesn't dent the baddie's shield.  Would Mr. Reed perhaps enjoy denting Ms. Pol's armour?  Again I pose the question: Who gets beat up more Archer or Reed?  Malcolm could care less, for the enemy  'is armed to the T!'  T'Pol seemingly ignores this reference to her and tells Malcolm to return fire.  Again Mr. Reed has no problem following her orders, unlike Trip.  T'Pol seems highly upset that their weapons were ineffective. Very upset.  Malcolm, however, is unflinching at the sparks flying around.  The sparks flying do to ship damage, not the sparks between him and T'Pol.  I understand your confusion of the two.  Ms. Pol  sends Trip to work the transporter, for her and Reed just make a better Bridge Team. What can I say?  They should rename the show 'Polly and The Reedygoodness'
